Our pasture-raised whole bird, averages 6 lbs. These chickens are non-vegetarian, worm-eating, bug-scratching, slower growing than your typical store-bought chicken (6 weeks), taking up to 14 weeks to fully mature, allowing for a more natural life cycle. They are rotationally grazed and moved onto new pasture daily. Fed a grower feed from Kettle Falls' Red Bridge Farm: 5 Star Poultry Grower (Corn—Free, Soy-Free, Non-GMO) with probiotics, enzymes, Fertrell Minerals, and Redmond Salt.
This bird was raised how chickens are meant to live: outside, on grass, with room to forage and fed a certified organic chicken feed.
This bird never received a vaccine, antibiotic, or drug. Why? Because it was raised in a healthy, natural environment with fresh air and fresh pasture. It thrived in life, and didn't need any of that extra stuff!
